Not every dog needs a grand introduction — sometimes the right one just walks in, drops a toy at your feet, and makes himself at home.

That's Mason, a five-year-old Lab mix available for lab mix adoption right here in Olympia, WA, and he's exactly the kind of dog most people spend years searching for.

At this stage of his life, Mason has already outgrown the chaos of puppyhood without losing an ounce of personality.

He's enthusiastic enough to keep the backyard lively, but settled enough to park himself beside you on the couch when the evening winds down.

That balance is rarer than people think — and harder to find in a younger dog.

When it comes to toys, Mason is nothing short of devoted.

Hand him a squeaky toy or a tennis ball and he'll carry it around the yard like it's the most important job in the world — because to him, it absolutely is.

Mason has shown consistently positive behavior around other dogs, making him a strong candidate for multi-pet households throughout the Thurston County area.

He warms up to new people at his own pace, and once he decides you're his person, that bond runs deep.

For anyone ready to adopt an adult dog, Mason checks every box without the guesswork.

Dogs like Mason don't wait around — a good fit moves fast, especially in a community that takes pet adoption seriously.

If you've been waiting for a sign to bring a dog into your life, Mason's toy collection has plenty of room for one more.
