Meet Charley, a 160-pound Mastiff with an even bigger heart.
At around 4 years old, this handsome boy arrived at the shelter as a stray, possibly left behind by someone he once loved.
Since his arrival, Charley has been understandably down; the noise and change have been hard on him.
But beneath that quiet, heavy-hearted exterior lies a deeply affectionate dog yearning for connection.
When you stop to pet him, he melts, leaning his full weight into you in the sweetest, most trusting way.
Charley walks well on a leash and knows his potty manners, but make no mistake—he is strong and fully aware of his size.
If he decides it's time to go (or not go), you'll feel all 160 pounds of opinion.
He'll do best with an experienced owner who can handle his strength and appreciate the gentle, sensitive soul inside the giant frame.
We haven't seen much interest in toys yet; right now, what Charley seems to want most is steady companionship and a soft place to land.
If you have room in your home and heart for a loyal shadow, Charley is waiting.
Make an appointment to meet Charley to see if he's a good fit for your family. Just call Animal Services at 360-352-2510. |
