Adopt a Pet

Somewhere in Olympia, Washington, a 79-pound pit bull mix named Wesley is patiently waiting for his person to walk through the door.

The two-year-old brown-and-black charmer is a Thurston County shelter dog with a big heart and an even bigger personality.

Like many high-energy dogs, Wesley showed some kennel anxiety early on β€” but with consistent support from shelter staff, he now leashes up calmly and walks with ease.

He's food-motivated, affectionate, and thrives on one-on-one attention.

The $110 adoption fee covers spay or neuter surgery, microchipping, core vaccines, deworming, and flea treatment β€” real value for a life-changing commitment.

The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday, and staff recommend calling ahead, as dogs like Wesley don't stay available for long.

For anyone searching pit bull adoption near Olympia, WA, Wesley isn't asking for perfection β€” just someone willing to give him a chance.
